Philadelphia Eagles' new cornerback Cooper DeJean thinks he can beat the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Caitlin Clark, in a one-on-one matchup.
A few days ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, DeJean was asked about taking on fellow Iowa star Clark, and he talked a big game.
“A lot of tеams havе askеd mе if I could bеat Caitlin Clark, just being from Iowa,” DeJean said, via Yahoo Sports. “I said I think I can. Shе’d probably scorе a fеw buckеts on mе, but I think I could pull it off.”

DeJean might be a little rusty since he hasn't played competitive basketball since his high school days.
As a three-year varsity basketball player at OABCIG High School in Ida Grove, Iowa, DeJean scored an impressive total of 1,832 points

But that number doesn't come close to the 3,951 points Clark put up in her four seasons to become the NCAA's all-time leading scorer.
While it would be a great matchup to watch, DeJean might want to save his one-on-one matchup energy for the football field because the Eagles' secondary is going to need him.
