Jason Kelce Reveals One Massive Sleeper For Kansas City Chiefs
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs recently signed rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit, which has many wondering just how the Chiefs will utilize him in 2024.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce had some fun with the Rees-Zammit discussion along with his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on their New Heights podcast this week.

While Jason said he is interested to see how things turn out, he also joked that Rees-Zammit could be incredibly marketable because of his good looks.

“I hope this guy takes the world by (expletive) storm,” Kelce said. “It will be electric, and I mean listen: with a smile like that, if he works out, he’s going to be the most marketable player of all time.”

Kelce added that there will be a “learning curve” for Rees-Zammit.

Of course, there is no guarantee that Rees-Zammit will even make the 53-man roster. He wants to be an offensive player and is aiming to play either running back or wide receiver, so it will be interesting to see how head coach Andy Reid tries to utilize him in camp.

The Chiefs could actually use some offensive weapons, especially considering everything going on with wide out Rashee Rice, who may end up serving a significant suspension next season due to legal issues.

Still, you have to wonder about the chances of Rees-Zammit actually making the team.

The 23-year-old has great size at 6-foot-3, so he could potentially represent a red-zone target, but given the amount of players who will be trying out for Kansas City this spring and summer, it will be exceedingly difficult for him to crack the 53-man. He isn’t even a football player, after all.

Nonetheless, it will be an interesting story to monitor, and it seems like Jason Kelce will be all over it.
